About Michele Westhoff

Michele Westhoff moved to California in 2000 and has resided in the Bay Area since 2015. She is a licensed attorney who has forged a rewarding real estate career based on the skills she developed as a litigator and her passion for homes. Michele’s knowledge of contracts, as well as her strong negotiation skills, provide valuable benefits to her real estate clients. Her unmatched professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and robust work ethic, combined with her innate ability to connect with people, allow her to guide buyers and sellers through real estate transactions with empathy and competence. 

 

Michele prides herself on the relationships she builds with her individual clients, not only by providing technical real estate advice but by being constantly available to answer questions and discuss the emotions that often accompany a major life decision like buying or selling a home. She remains actively available as a resource long after a transaction closes, assisting her clients with interior design, providing referrals and recommendations for home-related service providers, and answering questions regarding anything and everything related to homeownership. She has a special affinity for first-time buyers and loves guiding them through the home buying process. 

 

Michele immensely enjoys the process of buying and selling property: the hunt for the right place, maximizing a home’s appeal in preparation to sell, the excitement of negotiating offers, and everything in between. She has bought, gutted, renovated, and sold three of her own houses, and has designed a new construction home and a renovation of a 1912 house for friends. Actively participating in her renovation projects has taught Michele a great deal about home and landscape construction, and given her a keen eye for design and “fixers” with investment potential.

 

Michele loves helping her clients find a place that fits their definition of “home” and watching as they connect emotionally with the property’s individual characteristics, whether it’s the history, the architectural details, the land, or something else entirely. She has a knack for helping clients visualize changes and improvements that will make homework perfectly for them while preserving the existing features that initially drew them to the property.

 

Michele is a National Association of Realtors® Green Designee. She knows buyers are increasingly searching for homes with better energy performance that can provide a healthier, more environmentally conscious living space and lower energy costs. She is uniquely positioned to help sellers capitalize on their homes’ green features, and to help buyers evaluate the green features of homes they’re interested in purchasing.

 

Michele also loves animals and once co-founded a non-profit animal rescue in Los Angeles. For each real estate transaction closed, she donates 1% of her commission to animal rescue organizations.
